“Adapt, Operate, Thrive”
136th Annual General Meeting of the St. Lucia Chamber
The St. Lucia Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture will be hosting its 136th Annual General Meeting on November 25th, 2020 commencing at 8:45a.m. In light of the current COVID-19 protocols, the Annual General Meeting will be conducted virtually using the Zoom platform. The Annual General Meeting will be held under the theme “Adapt, Operate, Thrive”.
The AGM is not only the highest decision making body of the Chamber, it also provides an opportunity for the Chamber Secretariat to report to the membership and importantly provides for the Election of Officers. The AGM is also used an opportunity for the Chamber to share important information and ideas with its members with the hosting of outstanding Panel Discussions or Speakers during the Open Session of the Meeting.
Two important presentations will be made at the AGM:
1. The Business Recovery Program of the St. Lucia Development Bank by Managing Director Mr. Vincent Boland
2. COVID-19 and the Business Community by St. Lucia's Chief Medical Officer Dr. Sharon Belmar-George.
Dr. Keith Nurse, Principal of the Sir Arthur Lewis Community College and renowned Development Economist and one of the foremost thinkers and researchers in the world on the challenges facing developing countries, will be the Featured Speaker who will deliver an Address on the Topic "Adapting, Operating and Thriving in the Next Normal- Some Critical Perspective on the Next Normal".
