Get in the Ring St. Lucia : A Premier Pitching Competition
The St Lucia Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture through The St Lucia Youth Business Trust and Junior Achievement will be hosting the first ever “Get in the Ring” St. Lucia at Caribbean Cinemas, Choc Bay.
An advisory committee has been established and will be responsible for providing insight, guidance and assist in the selection of the jury.
‘Get in the Ring” is a global startup pitching competition that challenges teams from around the world in a fast paced match, held in a boxing ring. The competition specifically targets start-ups (0-8 years) that are scalable and innovative and is poised to be staged as a made for TV production, showcasing the talent and economic viability of the participants. No cash prize will be given to participants, however, the winner of the competition will receive an all-expense paid trip to Cascais Portugal from May 30th - June 1st for the Global Meetup.
The Get in the Ring Foundation is an organization that gives startups a fun and global podium to make valuable connections to start, grow and scale up their business. The Get in the Ring Foundation started in 2012 with the mission to reduce the failure rate of talented entrepreneurs and potential world changing innovations The Foundation is active in 100+ countries and works together with leaders of entrepreneurship ecosystems around the world. Get in the Ring is known for its innovative format where startups literally face off in a boxing ring. A battle between 2 startups consists of 5 30-second rounds about the team, achievements, and business model.
Get in the Ring St. Lucia seeks to focus on the holistic development of entrepreneurs and as such has compiled an intense yet impactful program for its participants.
