Address:Palm Ville Conference Room, Coco Palm Resorts
Duration Date:Feb 19 , 2019
The Saint Lucia Chamber of Commerce continues its membership development through its 2019 Training Series. A Business Continuity Planning Workshop will be hosted from February 19th to 20th, 2019. This is an intense two-day training course for businesses interested in strengthening their ability to survive and rebound quickly after a disaster - natural, biological or IT related. Concerns over natural ruins, i.e. hurricanes, earthquake and tsunami are particularly acute in this region.
St. Lucia and its’ business community’s extreme vulnerability to disaster, either natural or manmade is indisputable. The experience of Caribbean neighbors with hurricanes in 2017 is a stark reminder of this vulnerability. While our region went unscathed in 2018, it remains imperative that measures within the reach of all businesses be put in place to ensure that one is prepared for the “day of reckoning”.
Business Continuity Planning is one practical and powerful step firms can take to mitigate and counter the inevitable occurrence. Business Continuity Plans are those plans that outline an enterprise’s “Plan B”. This plan ensures that business processes and operations can continue during and after an emergency or disaster, natural or manmade. While firms in our region like to focus on natural disasters, what about cyber-attacks and the increasingly frequent biological and health pandemics?
The St. Lucia Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture is aware that many firms do not currently have a Business Continuity Plan and as such presents a practical approach to developing an implementable Business Continuity Plan.
The two-day training will run from 9:00AM to 5:00PM at the Palm Ville Conference Room, Coco Palm Resorts on Tuesday, 19 and Wednesday 20 February 2019 and will be facilitated by Mr Andrew George who is an ISO Certified Risk Management Trainer.
This Workshop is an opportunity for Members and the wider Business Community to adapt and evolve their business plans and more importantly, become knowledgeable about Risk Analysis and Management to better protect and manage your business.Email at email@example.com or telephone 758- 452-3165.
