Duration Date:Jun 13 , 2019
The vulnerability of our island to disasters, manmade or natural cannot be understated. This knowledge must be translated to definitive and deliberate action, to reduce vulnerability to known risks, while finding ways to build the resilience of firms and the nation to disaster.
The two day workshop will take account of the call for hands on training in developing the BCP. A useful template will be provided to attendees, before the workshop, allowing in-firm discussion and pre workshop preparation. At the workshop there will then be systematic knowledge transfer to help build that plan.
Business Continuity Planning is a practical and powerful tool firms use to mitigate and counter the inevitable occurrence of any type of disaster. Ensuring that key business processes and operations can continue after an emergency or disaster is vital. While most firms focus their BCP on natural disasters this workshop will discuss a broad spectrum of risks that must be taken account of, such as cyber-attacks, biological and health pandemics as well as the impact of fires, crime and civil disobedience.
The BCP workshop held in February was extremely well received with the Facilitator, the content, skills and knowledge gleaned being highly commended. Based on feedback the elements of a BCP Template has been included to further enhance the workshop. Being aware that many firms do not have a Business Continuity Plan and the value participants the earlier program expressed we offer this invaluable program and invite your considered participation.
The two-day Workshop will run from 9:00AM to 5:00PM at the Kreole Conference Room, Coco Palm Resorts on Thursday, 13 and Friday 14 June 2019. The course will be facilitated by Mr Andrew George an ISO Certified Risk Management Trainer and recently trained BCP and Disaster Risk Reduction Trainers, Philbert Francis of SLDB, Caron Charlemagne of Massy Stores and Brian Louisy, Chamber Executive Director.
