Making it Easy to Do Business has been one of the main work focus areas of the St. Lucia Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture. Yet over the last ten years the pace of public sector reform has been at best pathetic with minimal numbers of reforms that impact St. Lucia’s ranking in the World Bank’s Ease of Doing Business Report being implemented.  Meanwhile Government has made some attempts to deepen the use of technology to improve the speed and quality of service being offered by some departments.

With this in mind, a series of initiatives spearheaded by the Division of Public Sector Modernization have been launched, which will have direct impact on the interface between the Public and the Private Sector, particularly aimed at introducing more online and digital solutions.

You are therefore invited to be part of the first in the 2020 edition of the Chamber’s Encounter Series on Tuesday 18th February, 2020 at 5:30 PM at the Chamber Secretariat on the 1st floor of the Orange Park Commercial Centre in Bois D’ Orange, Gros Islet. Acting Director of the Division of Public Sector Modernization Mr. Marlon Narcisse, will present to the Membership the plans and programmes that form the Government of Saint Lucia’s E-Government Agenda.

What does E-Government mean for the Business Community? How will service delivery change? What services will soon be available online and what adaptations may be necessary.

This Chamber “Encounter” will provide Members with valuable information while giving you the opportunity to ask questions, make recommendations, examine and discuss the critical issues on public sector modernization in a frank and analytic manner. This is also a wonderful opportunity for the Government to get the important feedback and hear the concerns of the private sector.

To register, complete and return the attached registration form at your earliest convenience. Registration Fee is $75.00 per Chamber Member. We look forward to your early registration. THIS IS A MEMBER ONLY EVENT.
