The luncheon was a resounding success, with over 60 attendeesfrom the business community coming together to hear from the Comptroller ofCustoms & Excise, Mr. Sherman Emmanuel. The event took place at the CocoPalm Conference Room and provided an insightful and informative presentation onthe transformative efforts underway within the Customs & Excise Department.

The St. Lucia Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture convened a critical meeting with key stakeholders, including the St. Lucia Air & Sea Ports Authority (SLASPA), Royal St. Lucia Police Force (RSLPF), and representatives of the trucking sector, to address growing traffic congestion and operational inefficiencies linked to Port Castries.

The Comptroller of Customs & Excise Department, Mr. Sherman Emmanuel is the featured presenter at the St. Lucia Chamber of Commerce first Executive Luncheon for 2025 to be held on January 16th, 2025, starting at 12:30 p.m. This is the first Chamber Executive Luncheon for the new year and is most apt as both the Chamber and the Customs and Excise Department have placed improved service and enhanced efficiency at the border as top priorities for the New Year.
