From Thursday 5th May 2022, the St. Lucia Youth Business Trust (SLYBT) successfully delivered six-days (two-hour sessions/daily) training titled "Introduction to QuickBooks Online". This impactful training is part of the Chambers' ongoing Small Member Support Program (SMSP).
The SMSP affords MSMEs the opportunity to build capacity through the provision of valuable information, skills and knowledge, tools and support services at affordable and highly subsidized costs.
Supported by firms such as BOSL, SLDB, SAGICOR, UNICOMER ( Fast Cash) and other larger Chamber Members. This specific program aimed to educate, show, demonstrate and also walk participants through effectively using the essential QuickBooks Online features.
the resultant impact is that participants are now better able to manage their business finances, reduce the time spent on repetitive tasks, keep more accurate records, and produce more accurate financial reports.
Introduction to QuickBooks Online was Facilitated using the Chamber's secure zoom platform. Sessions took place from 6:30PM to 8:30PM daily. The Trainer was Mr. Elias Maxius of EMAX Solutions.
Participants received vital instructions and skills that are immediately usable and as such they could experience immediate benefits from participating in the Training. QuickBooks, allows small and medium sized businesses to track income and expenses, accept payments, manage invoicing, and track sales.
the fact that it is online its value came to the fore even more during the pandemic as technology was and has become critical in ensuring continuity or operations and has positively impacted efficiency and productivity.
The use of low-code technologies also allows Quick Books Online to be integrated easily allowing businesses to customize and implement services with little software development investment.
