Business Community to voice views on Vieux Fort Water Supply Redevelopment Project tomorrow

The Chamber of Commerce in its continued effort to provide its members an inside edge in relevant areas has partnered with the WASCO’s Project Management Unit to update the Southern Business Community on the Vieux Fort Water Supply Redevelopment Project. 

The Southern Business Community Program (SBCP) remains a critical part of the Chamber’s strategy to be inclusive and bring value to all its members as it delivers its wide-ranging programs and services, by engaging them to understand their specific needs.  Thus, the Business Community has been invited to an update on the Vieux Fort Water Supply Redevelopment Project. The (PMU) / WASCO Inc. is responsible for the implementation of the Vieux Water Supply Redevelopment Project, which funded by the Caribbean Development Bank and the Government of Saint Lucia. The Virtual forum is scheduled for Friday May 13th from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM.

Anticipated outcomes of the Project include improved efficiency, reliability, climate resilience and sustainability of the supply of potable water in Vieux Fort and its environs by December 2023.  The Project is at an advanced stage of implementation and at this juncture, the PMU continues to create forums which will provide stakeholders with updates on the Project’s achievements and activities.
